Messi, Xavi and Iniesta together are like the Beatles. When they’re apart they’re fantastic players but when they’re together something magical happens and they complement one another so well that they become geniuses. It’s chemistry, you can’t explain it. Messi can’t play as well with Argentina as he does in Barça because he doesn’t have Xavi and Iniesta around. But Xavi and Iniesta do not play as well with Spain as they do with Barça either because they also need Messi around to be even better

I have learned so much from watching xavi play, both on and off the ball. Studying how he looks from left to right without and before recieving to read where his opponents are. This is a key factor in his ability to keep posession and run the midfield, a true genius of the modern game.
