Their secondary task is also to provide defensive duties. I say “they” but it’s pretty much him, he’s pretty unique in that sense. Few provide similar levels of creativity from that position than him. Most are more aggressive in attack ala Xavi, Iniesta, Gerrard, Lampard, etc. Which was the initial point I was trying to make.

i have grown up with Ac in my heart, but pirlo is poor, he doesnt put enough work in, Lazy. His moments of brilliance are just that, but rare. Kaka, i rate alot higher now at Madrid, but at Milan he was a Zidane “wanna-be”never reached his potential. midfielders i rate higher than pirlo, other than the obvious ; Lampard, Gerrard, Alonso, Xavi.etc, the less obvious, Essien, Mascerano, Ireland, Gattuso, Juninho and Emre(ex Newcastle) But how ever much i hate him, Zidane is still the King

Look when they played real not so long ago…how he controlled the midfield is just how a playmaker should be.
he should go to old trafford forget milan without kaka they’re going nowhere they will be back in europa league next season and pato will leave eventually real will probably add him to their hundreds of unused strikers

In these videos nobody shows the best qualities of Pirlo. Is the best one of the world in long passages, probabily one of the best ever; and also in ball handing is a real master.
He can do 40 metres passages, withour looking, precise as a sinper.
