@nerdheadbanger haha i’m sure nesta would’ve been a better choice than cannavaro THIS year! heck even materazzi–he’s hated for more than just the zidane incident: he’s actually a good defender. but yeah, pirlo def. injected life into the team when he came in. it was just too late but that just proves how great he is!
@Jawarib1 just let him be healthy. thats been the problem for him lately but hes a great player–hes NOT that old. so he may not be up for next world cup but im sure he can still offer A LOT of good for milan! the problem is that the azzurri have to do a better job at finding someone that can replace him when hes injured like what happened in this world cup. i like montolivo but pirlo is still irreplaceable.

@nerdheadbanger: Yeah…but remember that Pirlo doesn’t do much during open play since he cannot defend….yet he is a central midfielder. I wouldn’t drool over an old man who has no pace and for the last 2 years lost his ability to create out of nothing. I’d take 2004-2006 Pirlo over this fading old man anytime.
@smokkyz Oh, and Cannavaro sure did a good job with Italy this year! He looked half-assed and like he didn’t give a shit! Italy were a far better side when Pirlo came on against Slovakia! Shame it was too late!
